What’s new on HBO? Here is the list!

HBO is an American premium TV network owned by WarnerMedia Studio & Networks. It is the longest and oldest continuously operating subscription TV service in the US. It was launched on November 8, 1972. It was the 1st TV service to be directly distributed and transmitted to individual cable service. The network operates 24 hours. Lots of new shows keep coming every year on HBO.

List of new shows on HBO –

Tokyo Vice — This is an upcoming crime drama TV series based on the book written by Jake Adelstein, having the same name published in 2009. The series is set in the late 1990s, and an American journalist relocates to Tokyo to report on corruption within the Vice squad. The cast includes Ansel Elgort, Ken Watanabe, Rachel Keller, Ella Rumpf, Rinko Kikuchi. Due to the pandemic, the shooting was halted and was supposed to resume in November 2020. The exact date of release has not been announced yet.

The Gilded Age — This is an upcoming historical drama TV series. Downton Abbey developed the series, and Julian Fellowes created the series. The series is set in America during the Gilded Age, New York City boom years in the 1980s. The exact date of release has not been announced yet.

Hellraiser – Clive Barker’s 1987 horror film Hellraiser has lots of sequels being created and a comic book. Now HBO is converting this franchise into full-fledged series. As per reports, Danny McBride will be one of the executive producers of the show. David Gordon Green will direct many episodes of the show. The exact date of release has not been announced yet.

The Last of Us  – Naughty Dog’s two games in The Last of Us franchise is an excellent hit for Sony Playstation. Now, this video game universe is developed into TV series by HBO. The plot of the 1st video game the series will follow, at least and Joel (cynical survivor) hired to escort a young girl safely. The exact date of release has not been announced yet.

The Nevers — This is an upcoming science-fiction drama TV series. Joss Whedon created the series. The series will be releasing on April 11, 2021. This is about a gang of Victorian women who find themselves with unusual abilities, relentless enemies, and a mission that might change the world.
