Sydney’s popular Vivid winter festival will go back next year.
Billed as the biggest celebration of lighting, audio and thoughts at the southern hemisphere, the Conservancy festival brings over two million people into Sydney each winter.
It had been cancelled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Today the festival will probably be back in August 2021 and might be crucial to the restoration of Sydney’s tourism and innovative arts businesses, NSW Tourism Minister Stuart Ayres stated on Wednesday.
“We expect that Sydneysiders, residents of NSW and people from all over the nation will begin planning today and reserve accommodation, attractions and tours to get the most out of their Vivid Sydney 2021 adventure,” he explained.
Colorful was set in 2009 and includes a’Light Walk’ of heaps of setups and large scale projections, largely across the lane.
The government is calling for artists, designers, creatives, architects and architects to submit thoughts, designs and theories to the festival from November 23.
Vibrant Sydney has been owned, controlled and made by Destination NSW.
