Classic '70s series Kung Fu is being revived with female leads

The traditional martial arts action play Kung Fu, that helped produce a generation of fans from the 1970therefore, has been restored with female prospects from US system The CW.

Deadline reports that Vanessa Kai (New Amsterdam, The Blacklist, Orange is the New Black, pictured) may play the vital job of Pei-Ling Zhang, also a religious manual and martial arts guru into Nicky Shen, performed with Olivia Liang, also a disillusioned US school dropout that makes the decision to return back into China in pursuit for some inspiration in her entire life.

Everything she experiences instead motivates her to become a warrior.

The first TV series starred David Carradine as Kwai Chang Caine, a half-Chinese, half-caucasian Shaolin master who went by the American West in search of the long-lost half-brother. The reboot Kung Fu will occur in southern China, as Nicky finds her dear master Pei-Ling was killed, but may live on in her memory, directing her as she struggles to safeguard a neighborhood ravaged by corruption and teeming with criminality.

Since Nicky searches down Pei-Ling’s murderer, she finds that her instructor had her own dark secrets and her mentor’s last could hold the secret to her very own future.

The Kung Fu reboot has been made by Warner Bros TV and composed by Christina M Kim, who’s composed episodes of Lost, Hawaii 5-0 and NCIS: Los Angeles.

It is not yet clear when Kung Fu is scheduled and this station will broadcast it in the united kingdom.
