Toronto clothing shop closes doors after over a decade

Popular menswear shop Model Citizen has shut its doors for good after over a decade at the Kensington Market area, and community members have been definitely unhappy to see it move.

Shop owner Julian Finkel announced the information in a very long Instagram place two weeks before, and he wrote he was saddened to report that the closed but felt”a tinge of relief”

“I have had the happiest 15 year encounter in which I have experienced the pleasure and honor of meeting with the most amazing Canadian performers, a cast of leading employees along with also the very fascinating and committed customers any store can ever imagine,” Finkel composed at the article.

“I’m grateful for dedication and patronage, for its determination and vision and also for its beauty and the chance which were given me as a top merchant of Canadian trend.”

Happily, this is not the end of the street for its Model Citizen brandnew. Finkel wrote which he intends to revamp the shop’s internet shop, and continue to market goods through Instagram.

He stated they will also keep accepting T-shirt printing orders.

From the article, Finkel gave a special shoutout to the Kensington Market neighbourhood that he said is now his”second home,” and that he stated that he intended to own tacos at Arabian restaurant El Trompo the afternoon following closure.

Meanwhile, lots of the shop’s former clients expressed their disappointment at the remarks section.

“You’ll be missed! Know you will forever be called a pioneering institution in the’marketplace’. Have a fantastic break, and” one true patron wrote.

“Kensington won’t be the same with no Model Citizen,” wrote another.
