Ten’s Matt White and Matty Johns join SEN in Sydney

Six’s previous head of game, Matt White, has combined radio channel 1170 SEN at Sydney, prepared for the release later this season.

NRL.com reporter Katie Brown may even combine the channel to report on game throughout the breakfast program using Andrew Voss. Former NRL participant Matty Johns has also combined the channel and could host breakfast on Fridays. Bryan Fletcher and Joel Caine will server push and Jimmy Smith evenings.

White unites with over 30 years experience, with covered a range of Olympic and Commonwealth Games, Supercars along with Formula 1, Australian Opens, US Open Golf and several different events.

He was head of game at Ten, in which he worked 16 years prior to being cut earlier this season at a form of redundancies. White also spent ten years . He said that he was eager to carry on his sports coverage using SEN.


“As a sports enthusiast, I am thrilled that 1170 SEN is coming into Sydney and much more thrilled to participate in this line-up. Radio is really a two-way dialogue and I can not wait to attract mornings living with game sport and more game,” White stated.

Former NRL celebrity Johns will sponsor Friday evenings from 9am to noon, in addition to an hour Monday mornings through supper with Vossy. He thanked SEN CEO Craig Hutchinson to your gig.

“If Hutchy first approached mehe provided me 9am — 12noon Mondays — but I explained I was not curious. It is tough to justify using a beer then on a Monday… however Fridays… well that is different, so I said !” Johns stated.

“I like java, however, after eight decades of breakfast changes, I had a rest. The bait of a 24/7 sport channel with a established history, in addition to the chance to combine a team of the calibre, was too great to refuse.”

Johns had been a plethora of Triple M breakfast series — The Grill Team — for 2 decades and also a regular commentator for The Footy Show. He also hosts The Matty Johns Show on Fox Sports.

Hutchison stated Johns would deliver something really special to the channel.

Brown created a name for himself as a reporter and host of Interior NRL, then as a participant — which makes her debut in the age 28 to the South Sydney Rabbitohs. She stated she had been rapt to become a part of something fresh.

“that I really like to take on fresh challenges and’m eager to bring most of the breaking footy information to listeners every morning together with Vossy around SEN,” Brown stated.

SEN, a part of ASX-listed Pacific Star Network (PNW), obtained the 2CH 1170 AM radio license in June this year and intends to keep Classic Hits 2CH on DAB+ and also through live streaming within the program and net.

Last month, SEN established its committed racing channel SENTrack 1539 and DAB+ to Sydney with acclaimed racing broadcaster Andrew Bensley to sponsor its morning show from December.
