Queensland athletic greats Lisa Curry and Grant Kenny have issued a request for solitude following the passing of the union Jaimi Lee Kenny.
Jaimi, 33, passed away peacefully on Monday morning in Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a lengthy battle with disease.
“It goes without saying this is a really tough time for family members and friends and we hope we shall all be permitted to grieve in solitude,” that the Curry-Kenny family said in a statement.
“our hearts have been broken up and the pain is so astounding but we need to proceed cherishing every excellent moment we must talk to our cherished child”
Within an Instagram article, Curry stated her daughter’s passing did not feel”real or right.”
“I shall miss you if the clouds are dark and stormy and once the rainbow seems. I’ll miss you if I shut my eyes. I shall miss you if I start my eyes” the winner swimmer posted.
The Exotic parents thanked Sunshine Coast hospital personnel for providing them additional time to spend with their kid.
“Jaimi will forever be remembered as a caring, bright and loving soul who always put others ahead of herself,” the household.
called Queensland’s athletic royalty, the group wed in 1986 and had three children before divorcing in 2017.
Curry competed in the Olympic Games in Moscow, Los Angeles and Barcelona.
Iron guy winner and canoeist Kenny won an Olympic bronze medal at the K-2 1000m affair with Barry Kelly in Los Angeles at 1984.
