Following NASA and SpaceX successfully finished a launching escape demonstration of their business’s Crew Dragon spacecraft and Falcon 9 rocket, Elon Musk explained that his aerospace firm intends to ship NASA astronauts to distance between April and June this year.

It has been the last big flight evaluation of the spacecraft until it starts carrying astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) under NASA’s Commercial Crew Programme, the US space agency said in a statement on Sunday.

With this evaluation now finish, the upcoming huge flight of this Crew Dragon will get folks on board: NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley.

“We are highly confident that the hardware will be ready in Q1, probably in the end of February but no later than March. And we believe it seems likely that the very first crewed launch will happen in the next quarter,” stated Musk following the prosperous uncrewed evaluation of its Crew Dragon capsule’s provincial launching escape capacities.

Musk stated that when all goes well, the first crewed flight to the Crew Dragon can occur in the next quarter of the year.

“Just as we could tell so far, it is a picture perfect assignment. It moved as well as you can possibly anticipate,” explained Musk. “That is really a reflection of the commitment and hard work of their SpaceX and NASA teams to successfully attain this objective.
