The Flaming Lips have played recent ‘God and the Policeman’ (sans collaborator Kacey Musgraves) while emerging as musical guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
As they did after acting’Race for the Prize’ on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert back in June, every member performed from within their very own giant plastic bubble. See under:
‘God and the Policeman’ is obtained from the group’s 16th studio album’American Head’, that came earlier this week. Yesterday (September 12), the group shared a video to the track, led by frontman Wayne Coyne along with Blake Studdard.
At a four-star overview of’American Head’,” NME called the record that a”lovely ode to love and decrease that manages the topics with elegance,” contrasting it with all the group’s 1999 standout’The Soft Bulletin’.
“Instead of utilizing their fantastical bubble of audio to transport listeners to distant galaxies, because they’ve done many times earlier, the ring float lightly over Oklahoma town, in which Coyne sits up front, gently considering beauty and youth.
“`American Head’ is a tender, reflective minute of shooting in and enjoying the vista when the trip has worn off when king’s minds and bad pink robots have thrown away — along with the dust has settled”
