Sam Raimi Doctor Strange two: Chiwetel Ejiofor eager for new manager

Sam Raimi Doctor Strange 2: Chiwetel Ejiofor excited for new director

While initial Doctor Strange manager Scott Derrickson may have blasted the sequel, legendary superhero storyteller Sam Raimi was supposed to be carrying more — and one of the movie’s stars seems to have further affirmed Raimi’s participation, while also talking his excitement in working with all the veteran manager.

“I adore Sam Raimi, therefore I am very excited that he is producing the movie, the next Doctor Strange,” Chiwetel Ejiofor, who performs ally-turned celebrity Mordo from the Marvel movies, told RadioTimes.com and additional media.

“To whatever he does, he brings plenty of creativity and enthusiasm.”

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch along with Ejiofor, Benedict Wong along with Elizabeth Olsen amongst the others, Doctor Strange at the Multiverse of Madness seems set to become one of Marvel’s strangest experiences yet, initially billed as a member of a horror movie by Derrickson while even shooting in a narrative using parallel universes which could set alternative versions of our favorite characters.

Currently, with Raimi entailed the movie also includes some superhero film royalty supporting the camera, together with Ejiofor pointing out that the manager’s influence in the genre goes even farther than his cherished noughties Spider-Man duology (along with the third person ).

“During this particular genre, he is one of those most popular figures,” Ejiofor explained. “I recall watching Darkman once I was a child, and only being like’That is outside! It is just so remarkable.’

“I believe he’s an amazing head, and I believe he actually can bring that thoughts into his storytelling at a very distinctive way. And it is quite very satisfied to this planet that’s been made from Doctor Strange.

“I am eager to find out what he can with that planet, and in which he chooses it,” Ejiofor reasoned.

Before that, however, Ejiofor gets his hands full of a very distinct kind of comic book film — Netflix’s The Old Guard, which stars Charlize Theron, Kiki Lane, Matthias Schoenaerts along with many others as a group of immortal mercenaries who have lived for centuries seeking to fight the great fight.

“I actually feel the figures and the manner in which the activity is approached actually make it stand out,” Ejiofor explained.

“The Old Guard does not actually stop and also have an activity sequence. The activity sequence is completed via the story, and completed through the progression of the personality. And I believe that is something Charlize has performed for a lot of movies, and I believe a thing that Kiki has carried in to this film.

“They got their immortality however wear it at a heavy manner,” he continued. “They do not observe their abilities in a manner that perhaps another action heroes could observe their immortality, or anything their distinctive skillset is. And that opens all these interesting questions”

And who knows? In the event the Old Guard goes well, Doctor Strange 2 may not be the sole comic-book sequel we will see Ejiofor emerging in…

“I certainly think there is potential for this [an Old Guard sequel], since the characters and fundamental thought are so intriguing, and certainly will occupy all kinds of different occasions and intervals and thoughts,” Ejiofor informed RadioTimes.com.

“Therefore I think that it lends itself to this way, and that I believe those characters are extremely intriguing. And I believe that there is more story to tell with respect to their story. There is a good deal more to research.”
