Rodney Litchfield: Tributes paid after death of Coronation Street and Phoenix Nights star | Ents & Arts News

Tributes Have Been paid to Celebrity Rodney Litchfield, That starred in shows Such as Ancient Floors, Phoenix Nights and Coronation Street.

He died on Saturday, obsolete 81, after being sick for a while.

Litchfield is famous for playing with Tommy from the humor Historical grills, that aired 2003 and 2004 and accompanied by a bar landlord and his loved ones.

Phil Mealey, who wrote and starred at the series together with The Royle Family’s Craig Cash, paid tribute Twitter, stating:”Really unhappy news which Rodney Lichfield aka Old Tommy passed off peacefully during his sleep Saturday old 81, was badly for a while.

“We had been lucky to meet and throw him he had been totally ideal. For you Rodders and On The Regiment it will not be the same without you. RIPx.”

Litchfield starred in Coronation Street at 2007, enjoying grandfather Wilf Morton, plus played Wild Bill at Phoenix Nights along with Peter Kay along with Paddy McGuinness, who had been one of those to pay tribute.

The performer had bigger roles in displays such as Emmerdale, Shameless, The Bill, Cracker and Casualty.

Apart from Coronation Street

Fans also have paid tribute on social networking, with one stating:”Awwwwwww, adored him in ancient doors, the best comedy of the past 20 years. ‘No, I will remain on me own’. Rest in peace Rodney x.”

Comedian Steve Royle, that seemed in Phoenix Nights and can also be a finalist at the present set of Britain’s Got Talent, stated:”Really sad! Funny man & colorful comic performer! RIP x.”
