Jo Malone London explained in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter the advertisement created for Chinese viewers proved to be a misstep and was eliminated. The recreated advertisement replaced Boyega using Chinese celebrity Liu Haoran.

The first advertising starring Boyega aired this past season and has been known as”The London Gent.” It includes the London-born celebrity walking around the area where he grew up along with riding a horse at a playground, and it’s reference to his fellow legacy in a spectacle featuring West African dress.
