Ontario high school teacher charged with sexual intercourse, sexual abuse

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Peel Regional Police state a teacher was charged after a sexual assault investigation between a pupil.

Police believed the defendant in the Mississauga high school was at a relationship with a 17-year-old woman that started in 2016.

Researchers say Robert Brandstetter of Guelph, Ont., is charged with sexual assault and sexual abuse.

The 51-year old was held for a bond hearing and emerged Tuesday at Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Authorities say anybody who had contact with the defendant and thinks that they can be a victim of a criminal offence must phone the Special Victim’s Unit.
