Mullens replaces Beathard as 49ers backup QB vs. Rams

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The San Francisco 49ers have changed backup quarterbacks back again.

Nick Mullens is busy as the copy into Jimmy Garoppolo for Sunday night’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. Mullens was demoted to third string behind C.J. Beathard a week and has been still inactive.

Beathard performed with the second half of this loss to Miami but is inactive against the Rams.

Another inactive players to its 49ers have been LB Kwon Alexander (foot ), CB Dontae Johnson (groin), RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (H ), QB C.J. Beathard, WR Dante Pettis, DL Darrion Daniels, OL Tom Compton.

The inactive players to the Rams are all LB Ogbonnia Okoronkwo (elbow), RB Raymond Calais, OL Brian Allen, WR Trishton Jackson, TE Brycen Hopkins.
