Missing Shar Pei dog Afra sparks four month search by family in The Vines

Four weeks from crazy storms in February, a Perth household remains desperately looking for their cherished family pet.

Afra that the Shar Pei went missing from the house in The Vines about February 27 when strong winds ripped the roof by a nearby area.

Frightened, she chased beneath a fence and grabbed out the dried Ellen Brook River over to Upper Swan.

Owner Tracey Last week said the family was on the lookout for Afra ever because, canvassing the area and posting flyers.

A sighting out her sons’ old-school Upper Swan Primary School in April gave the household expect she was still living.

“We believed whether it appeared like a comfortable safe location to her,” she explained.

“The woman who watched her strove to safeguard her she ran away when approached. We searched the place thoroughly but could not locate her.”

Ms Last anxieties Afra, who’s partly blind, is stranded on the opposing side of their now-flowing Ellen Brook River and might not have the ability to return home if she tried.

Afra, 11, has been embraced as a companion for Ms Last’s child with her disappearance has left him devastated.

“She’d slept in his room each evening and that he misses her ,” she explained.

“If she went missing that he did not need to drink or eat as he’d say,’Afra does not have water or food and that I really feel guilty having these items’.

“To make things worse his brother had just moved back into the UK the exact same week along with also his grandad passed out four months afterwards.”

Ms Last year said the relatives had tried what to monitor Afra down and so are physically and emotionally exhausted.

“We’re extremely concerned for her health,” she explained.

“We sometimes wonder whether someone may be looking after her if so we would like to appeal to them to return us or perhaps shed her at a vet, then she’s microchipped.”
