Mature couple charged in lottery scam that targeted other seniors throughout Canada, Durham Regional Police state

OSHAWA, Ont. – An older couple from Courtice, Ont., face several fees on a lottery scam that supposedly targeted other seniors throughout the nation.

Durham Regional Police say sufferers were advised by telephone they’d won money and a car in a Publisher’s Clearing House Sweepstakes.

The natives supposedly asked for cash to permit the decoration to be published.

Authorities say at 11 sufferers are identified, however there may be other people.

Lottery companies in Canada are not permitted to charge a commission to launch a trophy.

The few inside their 70s face charges of fraud, conspiracy and also participating in a criminal association amongst others.
