Mandy Moore takes her beloved cat Olivia to the veterinarian after feline suffered several ‘violent’ seizures

Mandy Moore has taken her beloved cat Olivia to the veterinarian, after the feline suffered several ‘violent’ seizures early Thursday morning.

Mandy, 35, broke the bad news on her Instagram stories, where she started off the day posting a photo of the rain from inside her car.

‘Back at the emergency vet,’ she wrote. ‘Sweet Olivia had three seizures this morning.’

Several hours later, Mandy revealed Olivia would be spending the night at the hospital.

‘Thank you for all the sweet thoughts and prayers for our kitty, Olivia. She’s staying overnight at the hospital, on an iv, started seizure meds and being monitored for 24 hours.

‘I’m relieved she’s in good hands as there’s nothing like watching her have multiple, violent seizures. Thank goodness for Vets, Vet neurologists and Vet techs always!’

Mandy and her husband Taylor Goldsmith adopted the foster cat last year.

Update: Several hours later, she revealed Olivia was spending the night at the hospital

She announced the new furry addition by posting a photo of the slumbering cat, along with a sweet message.

‘Welcome to the family, Olivia,’ she captioned the snap. ‘Thank you to her incredible foster mama, Nikki (@myfosterkittens) [email protected] for bringing this bundle of love into our lives. #adoptdontshop.’

All together, the couple own three cats and two dogs.

One of the couple’s cats was renamed from Addison to Figaro, after a pet psychic told Mandy the feline hated the name and loved singing.

Indeed, Figaro – shortened to Fig – still enjoys singing along with the musical couple.

‘Truly, any time I start singing or Taylor sings — especially when we harmonize — he could be on the other side of the house fast asleep, and it’s like suddenly he’s like up on the piano with us,’ Mandy said recently on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. ‘And he sings! I mean, he meows.

Aww: The former foster cat joined the family back in 2019
