Clairo has shared that a cover of Carole King’s 1971 tune’You Have a Friend’, recorded in 1 take with only piano and vocals.

It is the newest in a series of covers Clairo has contributed with her SoundCloud webpage in recent months. The singer-songwriter has released lo-fi renditions of Carly Simon’s’No One Does It Better’,” Anna Domino’s’Everyday, ” Do Not’ and’Brown Trout Blues’ from Johnny Flynn,” amongst others.
weekly, Clairo spanned two new tunes on acoustic guitar whilst acting from house within A.G. Cook’s Appleville charity livestream. Sharing the operation Instagram, she wrote,”no idea when those will observe the light of day but thought I would share a few things I am working on today.”
100 Gecs, Charli XCX, Kero Kero Bonito and Cook himself appeared as a portion of this ticketed event. All profits from the livestream moved into Mermaids, also a UK charity behind transgender young individuals and their households, along with Black Cultural Archives, the UK’s first nationwide Black heritage center.
Back in April, Clairo showed she had started work on her next full length record. The LP will follow her up 2018 introduction’Immunity’.
