Justina Machado Calls Out Lack of Latinx Representation in Hollywood

On Thursday, Oct. 15’s incident of Daily Pop,” Justina Machado trapped together with E!’s Lilliana Vazquez to talk Dancing With the Stars,” 1 Day at a Time and much more. Considering that the meeting aired over the final day of Hispanic Heritage Month, Justina chose a minute to talk about the value of Latinx representation from the media.

“It is this kind of unbelievable, important series,” Justina shared with Lilliana About Just One Day at a Time. “After we left it, we did not make it around…it was not a series about subjects. It was actually a show which happens to people Latinos, on a daily basis”

The 48-year old celebrity explained the way that people have taken for their series was”incredible” However, 1 Day at a Time has faced its fair share of challenges.

Following premiering on Netflix at January 2017, it ran for 3 seasons before being canceled in March 2019. Later this season, ODAAT discovered a new residence on CBS’ Pop system (you knowthe house of Schitt’s Creek).
