We believe that once the season ends, will most likely see them declaring the schedule of release for season 2. At this point, it’s just a matter of when the next season will come out. The studio that is handling the production of anime (MAPPA) will likely resume with next season. However there may be some delay in the release.

MAPPA is currently handling several anime for this season which may push back the release date of season 2. But this is just speculation. Since Jujutsu Kaisen has performed exceptionally well, the studio may very well give it a priority.

If MAPPA doesn’t produce the anime for some reason, other studios may most likely pick up the anime. In any case, it is almost certain that there will be season 2 for Jujutsu Kaisen.

Why Is JJK Season 2 So Important?

The manga of Jujutsu Kaisen is in its best period. The sales are competing for the toe-to-toe with some of the biggest titles of Weekly Shonen Jump. The anime has certainly influenced the sales of manga. It will be a shame if anime gets left midway when it’s at such high popularity.

Right now, there are about 133 chapters published in the tankobon format. Season 1 of anime has adapted close to 60 chapters. It means that there is still a lot of material left that can get adapted in season 2. The first season has been a sort of introduction to all characters.
