Good news for all Jujutsu Kaisen fans. Even though the first season of anime is already over, fans don’t need to wait for more Jujutsu action. MAPPA studio just announced that this popular manga will be getting its movie in Winter with a Jujutsu Kaisen Movie preview trailer on their website.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a Shonen manga series created by Gege Akutami. It gets published on weekly basis in Shonen Weekly Jump, the most popular manga magazine. The first season of its anime adaption was a bomb. It impressed both fans and critics equally. MAPPA has fairly produced this anime to the best of quality. Despite running multiple projects at the same time, there hasn’t been any drop in the overall quality.

The Story Plot
Jujutsu Kaisen movie will feature Okkutsu Yuta as the main character. Yuta hasn’t had a proper appearance in the anime yet but he was introduced in the manga in recent chapters The story of volume 0 takes place an year before the current timeline of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Yuta in many ways is similar to Yuji Itadori. He was also imbued with a pretty strong curse. But just like Itadori, Gojo sensei made Yuta his student. The Jujutsu Kaisen movie will mainly deal with Yuta and his time under Gojo sensei. Fans will be able to know more about this important character with the release of the upcoming movie.
Background on Volume 0
Volume 0 was a project created by Gege before the publication of Jujutsu Kaisen. At its time of release, it was titled “Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School”. There were only 4 volumes of it and later on Gege started serialization of Jujutsu Kaisen in Weekly Shonen Jump.
Jujutsu Kaisen Movie Release Date
The confirmation of the movie just came a while ago so there’s no accurate release date out yet. But general speculations suggest that the movie will get its release during winter. Fans can expect the Jujutsu Kaisen Movie to arrive in December 2021 in Japan, USA, UK, Europe and globally.
