Jujutsu Kaisen is an ongoing manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It revolves around a high school student by the name of Yuji Itadori who finds himself entangled in the world of sorcery.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 179 Recap
In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 179 recap, we witness the climax of the three-way battle between the heavyweights of the Sendai Region.
Sendai’s Greatest Battle
Yuta, Ryu, and Takako have been fighting each other for a while now. They have different motives but their end goals are sort of similar. To dominate Sendai Region is what every one of those desires, however, it is going to be difficult to achieve it without putting in something extra.
In the previous chapter, we saw three of them use their domain expansion techniques at the same time. It seemed like all of them had run out of strength and now as a last resort, they used their ultimate technique to bring out a decisive result.
While using the technique, Takako and Ryu try to ensure that Rika doesn’t enter their domain since it could prove to be a troublesome thing. However, despite their attempts, Rika manages to enter their domain and cause intervention in their plans.
Return of Kurourishi
While all of this is going on, an unexpected face returns. Kurourishi, who was defeated and killed by Yuta Okkotsu earlier returns to take revenge. However, this time around, he’s not the same person himself but a different entity.
In reality, the real Kurourishi of the Sendai region is already dead. But during his hibernation, he left behind some of his offspring who have now come out to take the life of Yuta for what he did earlier. Because of the introduction of Kurourishi, Rika diverts his attention to him.
On the other hand, three competitors are still trying to win over the other using their domains. However, because of its instability and a sudden intrusion, it collapses.
The Final Battle
Earlier, Yuta foresaw that Takako’s technique wasn’t compatible with Kurourishi. Hence, he takes advantage of this opportunity to cause some damage to her. Meanwhile, Rika is somewhat damaged after an enormous attack from Ryu.
We learn that Ryu is capable of producing a massive amount of cursed energy. Because of this, even if he doesn’t use any cursed technique, the amount of energy is quite big enough to cause some heavy damage. Using this attack, he was able to heavily injure Rika.
Ryu then proceeds to send a blast at Kurourishi and Takako, knocking both of them out. Takako is now out of the battle and she also loses her arm. It’s now between Ryu and Yuta and the final battle will determine the king of the Sendai region.
