News Corp creator Rupert Murdoch’s son James is resigning in the family-controlled writer’s plank over content emerging in its own papers, including that the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post.
“My resignation is because of disagreements over specific editorial articles released by the organization’s news outlets and some other tactical conclusions,” James Murdoch wrote Friday in a concise letter into News Corp’s board that the business made public. The resignation was effective Friday.
James is popularly called the liberal Murdoch brother. His conservative god, Lachlan, is the heir apparent to New Corp executive chairman Rupert and can be co-chairman of News Corp.. Lachlan can be executive chairman and CEO of Fox Corp, house to conservative news network Fox News, the Fox broadcast and sports programs and local TV channels.
New York-based News Corp also releases major newspapers in Australia and also the U.K. and possesses the HarperCollins book writer.
At a statement supplied with a News Corp spokesman, Rupert and Lachlan stated,”We are thankful to James because of his years of support to the firm. We wish him the best in his future endeavours.”
James has criticized News Corp’s editorial choices and stated he disagreed with Fox News policy.
