According to eonline, Patrick Stewart is not gay. Monday, however, the 73-year-old actor was mistakenly outed as homosexual in a U.K. newspaper article about Ellen Page’s recent coming out. The newspaper issued an apology immediately for incorrectly designating Stewart as a homosexual.

He wedded his girlfriend Sunny Ozell. Patrick Stewart and Sunny Ozell have been in a relationship for more than a decade.
In 2008, the Star Trek actor and the musician met while Ozell was working as a server in a New York City restaurant. After several years of courtship, the couple wed on September 7, 2013. Ozell is Stewart’s third wife; he was previously married from 1966 to 1990 to Sheila Falconer, with whom he shares two children, and from 2000 to 2003 to Wendy Neuss.
Over the years, Stewart has frequently praised his wife’s talents and accomplishments, praising Ozell.
“I’ve never met anyone like her before,” Stewart told PEOPLE in 2022. “She is so intelligent and well-informed. And her intellectual achievements are exceptional. She recalls every detail.”
In 2008, She Met Stewart While Working as A Hostess

In 2008, Ozell met Stewart while she was a hostess at the now-defunct Franny’s Restaurant in New York City. Stewart was performing in a rendition of Macbeth at the Brooklyn Academy of Music at the time.
“[When we first met], she was working as a waitress in a restaurant in Brooklyn,” he told PEOPLE in 2022. “This beautiful woman approached me and asked, ‘Gentleman, on the house, what would you like for desserts?'” She told me that she desperately wanted to see Macbeth, but the performance was sold out. The three- or four-week engagement in Brooklyn was sold out prior to our opening.”
Stewart continued by explaining that he had given Ozell his phone number — the only time in his life he had done so — so that he could secure tickets for her to the performance.
“[I] stated, ‘Call me, I can purchase a ticket,'” That is exactly what we did. “After that, she came backstage, we had dinner, and here we are,” he said.
She and Stewart Tied the Knot in 2013
The wedding took place on September 7, 2013, in Ozell’s native Nevada. Ian McKellen, Stewart’s longtime friend and fellow actor, officiated the ceremony; however, the couple encountered a hiccup when they discovered that McKellen’s ordination credentials were not recognized in Nevada.
Stewart revealed in a 2020 interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that following the Nevada ceremony, they held a last-minute wedding at a Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles, which McKellen also officiated.
