Indigenous Actress Alyssa Wapanatâhk To Play Tiger Lily in ‘Peter Pan & Wendy’ Adaption

Alyssa Wapanatâhk was cast to play the part of Tiger Lily at the approaching adaption of all Peter Pan & Wendy.

” The Wrap reports the Canadian celebrity will choose the role that has gotten very controversial using the animated Disney film.

Tiger Lily is going to be reimagined for its live action adaption, that is also star Ever Anderson and Jude Law.

“This just in… SO eager with this new travel ✨ #tigerlilly #peterpanandwendy #disney,” she wrote following the statement.

Alyssa is currently a part of Cree (Nêhiyaw) First Nation, also only recently changed her title out of Alyssa Alook into Alyssa Wapanatâhk.

“It was a long-term career move I have been waiting to create for quite a while. I have always lurks with my title’Wapanatâhk’. This translates into’first star in the sky’ or’morning star’,” she composed her Instagram only a couple of weeks prior to the statement. “I had been given this name and it seems quite appropriate to change my name for this today.”
