DAWSONVILLE, Ga. – A hiker looking for help for the injured boyfriend had been found dead in the base of drops along a road from the north Georgia mountains, news outlets reported.
Both were walking in Cochrans Falls on Friday as soon as the man hurt himself, Dawson County Fire Chief Danny Thompson told reporters, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The drops are situated approximately 75 kilometers (120 kilometers ) north west of Atlanta.
Rescuers discovered the guy, and he had been taken to a hospital with headback and knee injuries. He explained that his girlfriend had gone to get assistance.
Research crews found her body a brief time afterwards.
“The drops clearly go up in the mountains,” Thompson said in the press conference. “The altitude is nearly two,000 ft and she had been situated down at the bottom place.”
Police haven’t explained how she died, according to the paper. Officials have also not identified that the bunch, except to state they had been inside their 20s.
The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office was requested to research.
