Aaron Sorkin’s The Annals of the Chicago 7 is filled with brilliant performances in the whole outfit — though Jeremy Strong and Sacha Baron Cohen are all standouts as Jerry Rubin and Abbie Hoffman, respectively. While viewing the movie, you are easily swept up from the team’s battles as they wait to find the results of a trial that is not anything more than political pettiness. Before you understand it, the film’s over and you are left with a sense of needing to go outside and do some thing , at least, needing to get caught up in a different dramatized legal fight.
