Australian actress Eliza Scanlen stuns in a stylishly angular blouse and chic slacks at NYFW

She’s the rising Australian actress who most recently starred in the critically acclaimed Little Women.  

And Eliza Scanlen cut an effortlessly chic figure while attending the Proenza Schouler show at New York Fashion Week. 

The 21-year-old stunned in a fashion-forward angular blouse, which featured a small black and white checkered print and bold rectangular accents.

The Sharp Objects actor paired the daring garment with classic high-waisted black trousers, which provided a menswear edge to the silk blouse. 

Eliza kept stylish from head to toe, donning black tie-design mules.

Heading out into New York’s wintery chill, Eliza added a fluffy long-line coat.

Her pixie cut was swept to the side to give the look an androgynous flair, while her femininely blushed makeup kept a softness to the ensemble. 

Eliza plays Elizabeth ‘Beth’ March in Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of Little Women, which also stars Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Laura Dern and Meryl Streep.

Eliza spoke about the pleasure of featuring in a female-driven story in an interview with Collider in August last year.

‘I’ve come into the industry at a good time. That’s what I’ve been told, and I definitely agree,’ she said.

‘There are a lot of opportunities for women, of all ages, which was definitely not the case, just a few years ago.

‘I feel like a lot of teenagers have typically been played by 25-year-olds and even 30-year-olds. It’s nice that I’m playing a little bit more to my age, although from 15 to 19 are pretty progressive years,’ Eliza added.
