Anya Taylor-Joy was declared to play the lead part in the Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa.
The statement comes after it had been formerly believed that Killing Eve celebrity Jodie Comer could assume the role portrayed by actress Charlize Theron at the 2015 blockbuster.
Currently, based on Deadline, Taylor-Joy, who starred at the 2019 movie Glass, will show up in the role alongside Chris Hemsworth and Aquaman celebrity Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
Taylor-Joy recently completed filming Edgar Wright’s Last Night in Soho and is presently filming Robert Eggers’ The Northman.

Furiosa is anticipated to inform the back story of this character. Director George Miller formerly disclosed he had thought bringing Theron through de-ageing technology, even though ultimately decided against it.
“For the longest moment I believed we could only utilize CG de-aging around Charlize, however I do not think we are almost there yet,” he explained. “Regardless of the valiant efforts on The Irishman, I believe there is still an uncanny valley. A draft of this prequel was written even before Fury Road started production, along with extensive backstories for lots of the additional figures.
Meanwhile, Miller formerly revealed there had been two brand new Mad Max films in the pipeline, that could be sequels — they relied on legal problems using Warner Bros.
It had been reported in February a fifth Max Max film was set to begin shooting later this season, although it remains uncertain if it continues to be affected with the coronavirus pandemic.
