Amazon to freeze delivery agency competing with UPS, FedEx – WSJ (NASDAQ:AMZN)

Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) requires individuals and capability to deal with a surge in requests from its customers, so the firm will set on hold a fresh shipping service which competes with UPS and FedEx (NYSE:FDX), WSJ reports.

Amazon has advised Reuters the Amazon Transportation service – that was rolled out at several U.S. cities to provide non-Amazon bundles – will be stopped starting in June, according to the report.

The firm has said it needs to employ 100K warehouse employees and is now focusing on transport essential items throughout the coronavirus outbreak.
