Alexandra Jarvis has tied the knot!

On April 14, the Selling the OC star wed CEO Sergio Ducoulombier at the iconic Villa del Balbianello overlooking Lake Como in Italy.

“We wanted a very intimate and romantic wedding day without any traditional expectations,” Jarvis tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview. “Therefore, we resolved to travel to Italy together. We’ve been there before, and I actually confessed my affection to him there. He had already told me he adored me, but I refrained from responding immediately.

“It’s a special place for us,” Jarvis continues. We wanted to get married on Lake Como because of its enchantment and natural splendor. It is truly the ideal romantic setting for what we had envisioned.”

The 32-year-old real estate expert and 46-year-old Ducoulombier dated for two years prior to getting engaged on Christmas Day, 2020. Due to the difficulty in reserving a venue following the pandemic, the couple decided not to wait and to do things differently.

Jarvis explains, “We just decided that we don’t want to have a traditional wedding where you have to entertain your guests the entire time.” “We just wanted a day where we intimately exchanged our vows and savored the day together, because it’s the only day you have together, and we wanted to savor it in every way. It’s not that no one was invited; we just didn’t really inform anyone about the event.”

The newlywed wore a one-of-a-kind gown by celebrity designer Michael Costello on her wedding day. She was very “hands-on” during the design process, according to Jarvis.

“It’s beautiful,” she continues. “This is a fully customized outfit. Michael and I sat down months ago, and I described my vision to him while he drew what I was describing. It was precisely what I had in mind. He is so gifted.”

She continues: “Then we chose the fabric jointly.” It is an elaborate, entirely beaded, and rhinestone-embellished gown. It is more of a couture dress with a bridal nod, so it has various elements that give it a bridal finish, but it is couture.”

The Italian ceremony was led by a local priest whom the couple’s wedding planner Benevent knew intimately.

After exchanging vows, the couple celebrated their new union with a private boat journey to nearby Bellagio and a celebratory Italian dinner.

She states, “We will have a private dinner at the hotel where we are staying.” “This exquisite boutique hotel, MUSA, is preparing a truly exquisite private reception dinner for the two of us. We will have the yacht for the entire day. We’re just going to travel to various locations, capture memorable moments, and appreciate our time together.”

While celebrating their nuptials abroad, the couple intends to dine on Italian cuisine. “Bring on the pasta,” she requests. We’re connoisseurs who enjoy eating, so anything similar is incredible.

After spending time as husband and wife in Europe, the honeymooners intend to return to Orange County to celebrate with their friends and family. Jarvis reveals that not all of her OC co-stars will be invited to the forthcoming event.

She says, “When we return, we are planning a party and celebration with friends and family.” People may believe that certain individuals who were perceived to be close to me in season one will be in attendance, but they will not.
