Recent rumors say that AirPower wireless charging mat from Apple is finally under manufacturing process and may hit the market soon. The wireless charging mat was supposed to launch in the previous year but the launch somehow got delayed due to unknown reasons.
Apple earlier in 2017 announced that it would soon come up with a wireless charging mat for its iPhone 8 and iPhone X. One of the executives from Apple then shared that the wireless charging mat beside charging iPhones will also hold the capability to charge Apple Watch and AirPods. Apple during the event in 2017 mentioned that it will release the product sometime in 2018.
Apple didn’t release the AirPower wireless charging mat following the rumors of it being shipped in March 2018. Since then, Apple has not talked about the device in any of its events. But there came reports in June 2018, that Apple was facing technical problems while manufacturing the device. There were rumors that the product was overheating following it was made to charge three different devices at once.
Talking about the recent rumors, Apple is willing to ship the device in early 2019 as it is already in the manufacturing process. Apple is also at the verge to release the updated version of its AirPods that too is rumored and support wireless charging.
Reports say that Apple has held down with the update for the AirPods until it makes AirPower mat available to the users. The technical issues that Apple was earlier facing while manufacturing the mat are now resolved added reports.
